About

Our Philosophy

Peggy, our founder, believes in quiet legal recruiting: we operate quietly and effectively behind the scenes. You won’t find our name in the legal press, nor do we engage in the noise of high-volume cold calling or pervasive social media campaigns. Instead, our strength lies in the profound and extensive relationships we’ve cultivated within the legal community. These relationships are not limited to our clients and candidates but extend to a wide network of insiders. These connections afford us privileged insights and intelligence, allowing us to serve you better.

Notable Placements

Borrowing from the doctrine of ‘Res Ipsa Loquitur”--our placements speak for themselves:

Peggy Britt, Founder, The Ipsa Group

Under Peggy’s leadership, The Ipsa Group has stayed true to its founding vision: to be a bespoke legal recruiting firm that maximizes value for both attorneys and law firms. This commitment ensures that we maintain a discreet public profile for the benefit of all parties involved.

Peggy holds a B.A. from Davidson College and a J.D. from Wake Forest University. Her background includes clerking for Judge Hugh Wells on the North Carolina Court of Appeals, practicing law in the Triangle, and consulting in the not-for-profit sector. Peggy lives and works near the UNC-Chapel Hill campus in an historic Sears house. Her two young adult children have dodged going to law school…so far.
