About
Our Philosophy
Peggy, our founder, believes in quiet legal recruiting: we operate quietly and effectively behind the scenes. You won’t find our name in the legal press, nor do we engage in the noise of high-volume cold calling or pervasive social media campaigns. Instead, our strength lies in the profound and extensive relationships we’ve cultivated within the legal community. These relationships are not limited to our clients and candidates but extend to a wide network of insiders. These connections afford us privileged insights and intelligence, allowing us to serve you better.
Notable Placements
Borrowing from the doctrine of ‘Res Ipsa Loquitur”--our placements speak for themselves:
- Moved most of the Raleigh office of an Amlaw 100 firm, including its managing partner, into a different, thriving office of another Amlaw 100 firm
- Opened the Charleston office for a global law firm.
- Started the DC office of a premier regional firm with a partner from an AmLaw 20 firm; that office has now grown to 30 people.
- Orchestrated the placement of a distinguished corporate group in Raleigh into an AmLaw 100 firm.
- Began the Raleigh and Charleston offices of a fine Southeastern firm, each with a “dream team” of partners from two different firms.
- Worked for some years with a DC-based partner of an Amlaw 10 firm before he ultimately moved to the Charlotte office of a top-tier regional firm.
Peggy Britt, Founder, The Ipsa Group

Her background includes clerking for Judge Hugh Wells on the North Carolina Court of Appeals, practicing law in the Triangle, and consulting in the not-for-profit sector.
